Start With the Tools You Already Use.

By REI Operate2 min read

Why REI Operate starts with your existing tools before building direct APIs or replacing systems.

Most investors already have useful tools: Drive, email, spreadsheets, CRMs, property management software, banking tools, calculators, and local files. The first move should not be ripping them out.

REI Operate's integration posture is simple: start with the tools that already hold the work, add direct APIs when the workflow needs them, and replace a tool only when the replacement is clearly better. Agents should first help prepare, reconcile, extract, summarize, and guide work through existing tools with human review.

Direct APIs matter when the workflow needs reliability, speed, safety, or repeatability. Native REI Operate workflows should replace external tools only when they are materially better or the old tool is no longer needed.

Why REI Operate Started As Dan's Operating System

The first REI Operate story is not generic SaaS. It is what happens when an investor builds a system around how his mind works.
